Hi! I'm Alexa Wayne. I am an introverted artist with lots of stories and art to share. I'm a freelance illustrator and blogger working from home. My assistant is a little dog named, Carey. I also love building websites!
I studied graphic & web design nine years ago. I went to Syn Studio and studied Digital Painting | Storytelling & Design | Character Rendering. I took courses online in Sequential art | Inking & Rendering | Anatomy and Comic Book Art classes with Comics Experience.
I took many art classes to help me in my development as a well-rounded artist. I didn’t wish to rely on no one to become the creative I envisioned to become. I like doing research, marketing, graphic and web design. I enjoy the entire process of turning a piece of art, including a novel, into something incredible.
The Geek Initiative is the first professional blog I worked for. I still am working for them to this day. I enjoy the geeky environment and the opportunity they gave me. The founder and editor in chief became my novel editor, Tara M. Clapper.
She gave me the backbone I needed to find my way as an artist and author. I now am the proud creator of Gothic Bite Magazine and Nerd Blog. I write action-packed novels in the hard sci-fi genre and horror. It took me some time, but now I know that I am proud to be a nerd, a self-made Batmanologist, and a hundred percent me.

I do freelancing in illustration, graphic & web design and because it would be too long to numerate all of those who I worked for, you can find those on my LinkedIn profile.
I am now a published author and write officially full-time on my novels. I write paranormal | adventure | science-fiction | horror | superhero.
I have created the webzine, Gothic Bite Magazine so everyone would feel welcome when enjoying the paranormal, legends, folklores, monsters, and more.
I work as a writer for the professional blog, The Geek Initiative. I am a weekly reviewer of Star Trek Discovery and I also write other type of nerdy articles for them as well.
